F-ONE | Flamingo Run - A 50 km downwinder in the Mediterranean sea
F-ONE R&D team going for a 50km downwinder.
We usually test foils together in the bay facing Montpellier. The forecast looked promising that weekend, so we decided to take the day off and target Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer from Frontignan, a distance of about 50km.
We called it the “Flamingo Run” as we went along the renown Camargue, famous for hosting a large population of flamingos.
It was quite a smooth run for the six of us, although the wind was very light for more than half the distance and we even found ourselves going against it at times.
Anthony followed us along on the boat to capture that memorable team moment.
