So many unnecessary action shots for skate boarding.... I would understand using these types of shots for a chase scene in a movie but not for a skate video. I would do everything helmet cam, fisheye low shot cam, and mess around with the camera for some cool close third person behind the skater or below the skater if he's coming from above shots. This "Movie" Could've easily been done better and quicker with a simple canon80D w/ wide angle lens, all attached to a gimbal for smooth shots, and a DJI maverick pro or a DJI Spark for those sky shots. Too much budget put into this project just for a skate video. It would've definitely helped the skater as well so he or she doesn't lose their hype to do the trick or whatever they we're going to do to get those amazing shots.

man I now realize how insane skating is. like by that I mean is the amount of pressure these guys are under. there tricks not only have to look perfect but also there body where their hands fly in the air everything has to look perfect and they have an entire fan base that looks up to them like they don't want to let us down and don't want there trick to look imperfect skating as a professional is no fun it's a legit job

There are a lot of skate contest dishing out quarter of a million dollars to winner, if you don't invest in a good setup how will you attract more newcomers as a company that endorses extreme sports.

Thank you to everyone at Red Bull for putting this video together, being a photographer this video explains so much, and truly gives an example and a light into the process of this perspective film which was shot incredibly. I hope to see a positive comment for this video, and I want to be that reaction. From the color, to angle, to just the general ideas, and lines of perspective which truly inspired, and have encouraged me to develop some sense of experimental shots and footage. Thank you to the guys are Red Bull, the film crew I hope to learn much from, and the skaters Torey, Sheckler, Decenzo, Zered. Thanks for ripping and being a part of all these projects!

I am curious, can anybody here recommend skate movies that don’t like similar to all the skate movies since the 80‘s? It seems like there is no real creativity, just repetition of the old formula with new locations and new skaters. Or is there anything I am missing, e.g. something like life cycles did for mountain biking?
