Arctic Swell- Surfing the Ends of the Earth / Chris Burkard
Photographer Chris Burkard and Professional Surfers Patrick Millin, Brett Barley, and Chadd Konig brave sub-zero temperatures in the Arctic Circle to capture moments of raw beauty in conditions that rank among the harshest in the natural world. The bitterly cold seas and wind exact a large price on their minds and bodies, but the reward - adventure, amazement, and self-knowledge - draws them closer together and pushes them to tackle the next frontier in surfing.

I can only imagine how hungry those guys were after getting out. Growing up on the Oregon coast there is nothing that will make you hungrier than surfing in the winter time and that is no joke but the food and beer always taste better after you get done getting your ass kicked by 10 to 12 ft swells and cold air/water.
-
Imagine how hard it must be to paddle in 7mm thick wetsuit.

The potential for amazing waves could be in the artic unseen by people who surf. The greatest waves could still be undiscovered :)
-
Why did they choose wanker surfers? Aerials are just skateboard stunts. They should have got real surfers. If the waves were good enough they would have done it.

I'm at 2:30 and there has yet to be ANY surfing! Lotsa beautiful scenery and walking across a difficult, boulder strewn beach, but no surfing!" Why do the editors of these "surf" vids, insist on 5 minutes of travel and geographic scenes in a 7 minute video? Done!
-
Doesn’t anyone respect the great quality
