The advertising has yet to explain how this is different than the raptor. What happened to the Raptor? They made it as a V1 and then killed it off. Too confusing to follow, makes me hesitant.
Exactly my thoughts. When you don't do enough R&D before releasing you end up with a bust. Then you gotta call it another product.
Agree shame the Raptor got ditched. I have a 9m. I’m hesitant aswell , I would like to see an honest view between the Machine and Raptor
Hey @R3G FLM, We worked on a Raptor V2 extensively after we release the Raptor V1, and our design team ran into a dead end on improving the model. Rather than try and push another Raptor into the market our design team worked on an all new platform that could outperform the Raptor. This is the Machine. We wanted the market to understand that this was an entirely new model with a new designer that was developed to achieve new heights. We really hope you all get to try it!
@sergemann5951 We did extensive R&D on the Raptor and we would hardly call it a bust, however we are constantly developing and trying to improve our products year after year. Thanks for the comment!
@alpinism If you feel its a shame the Raptor was ditched then you will be more than pleased with the performance of the Machine. If the Machine didn't outperform the Raptor we would have kept it in the lineup. Hope you get to try one soon!
@slingshotsports thanks for getting back . I’ve always had slingshot RPMs since 2012. I got the Raptor to get a booster option in my range. I will try it

Top! I had the privilege of flying the machine in 9m in the last few weeks in a wide variety of conditions. Boosting, hanging and looping are absolutely awesome. The machine is a lot of fun. :-D Good job guys!!!!

tested the brandnew Slingshot Machine 7m today in extremely gusty conditions between 14 and 40 kn: it was absolutely stable, solid and controllable. No problem at all - you feel always safe with this kite. My top speed: 86 km/h. Like my old Rally. But the Machine turns faster, pulls me better through turns and goes better upwind. Definitely a Rally on steroids 👍
