Thanx alot!

I was there and wanted to surf. But the water quality is horrible. Full of human sewage and trash. I would not step foot in that water.
Yeah true its a little dirty. But not too bad i would say.
-
Cet endroit est connu dans la region mais les surfeurs initiés sont toujours restés discret sur sa localisation.....
Why did they kept it a secret? No one is surfing there.
-
Once the Jamnesia crew from Jamaica finds out m, they will be there.
Whats that? I dont get it.
@schlepplifthasserLook it up..Jamnesia Surf Camp.. In this modern technological advanced society, ‘you don’t get it’?!?

Ghana is a fickle surf destination, I know, I worked there for many years and I don't go back for the surf. Anywhere has a few good days a year. You might get a bit lucky, you might not. Enjoy the logistics and disappointment. If you have never been, ask yourself why are there not dozens of surf camps ,like anywhere in the world with fickle average surf, Google maps isn't a secret, easy the check places. He is definitely a complete moron, with his sad little trip, tricking people to go and thinking he is a pioneer and sort of discovered Ghana with his sad look at me, look at me I'm so cool video.Look at me I left some shitty old PU boards, wow is that it, are you sending more. Can they swim, I doubt it, and what happens to them when your wornout leash snaps in the very strong rips. You have left these locals in a dangerous situation and unaware. In Ghana when you surf there is zero backup, zero local facilities if injured or have difficulties when surfing. No mention of watching the many local men having a shit on the beach all day, not there fault. It's not great for them seeing you. Or no mention of the massive uncontrolled pollution, heavy metals from all the rivers etc etc Ghana has been surfed for decades by many people. I read a few comments very funny and sad, especially the Endless summer ones. Good luck, you'll need it
Wow why so negative. Ok lets see: 1. The Kids are happy with the boards. I just got today the feedback the boards are still fine and the kids surfing them. They surf behind the harbour wall in the inside. They are used to swim there and surf with peaces of wood. Now they have real surfboards. What did you gave back to the local surf community when you have been there? 2. Yes there is pollution thats true. 3. I have been there for a few month in the season. There are waves i would say 4 days a week. 4. I never said i discovered it. I just describe how i see the surf there. And yes thsts not great waves. But for average joes like me its great. 5. For me the most important Feedback is the one from the locals. I am still in contact with some. They all like the video. To be honest i think not Ghana is frickle - its you! :)

A year later, crowds, hotels, airport, jet skis, shit
I said it already in other comments. There are a lot of reasons why people are not traveling in west africa. This reasons will not disappear because of this video. There wont be crowds any time soon for sure - believe me. I talked to a local the other day. He said yes, there some surfers coming because of the video. But we are talking about a few in the last hole year. Thats the reality.

Love this❤, what was the guest house? Want to bring some surfboards down for them kids 👊🤙
With the kids thats Gomoa Fetteh. Thats the guest house: https://maps.app.goo.gl/SwdQYUQkN3YsJv7H7 The other break is south of keta. Eleme point. There you have to ask for Godfred.
-
Great Place!👍🏄♂️
Yes 😊
-
It looks good for longboarding. Needs some more swell for a thruster
Yes you are right
-
Imagine finding empty, untouched waves and then deciding to post them online.... Attention seeking kooks and the internet are a dangerous mix!
ghana still has to fight with many problems. A little bit of surfing can help to bring some joy and some chances for the people. There are a lot of other reasons why people are not traveling in West Africa. Thias Video will not change this. It wont get crowded any time soon - believe me.
Moron, take the video down then
-
Thank you for this video. Question: what kind of car insurance do you need for this kind of trip? With an European car...?
You have to make an insurance over there. Sometimes directly at the boarder. Sometimes in the next city.

Senegal use to be like this until people like you started posting online. NOw its full of french people
Yes ok. But again. I think the most locals would like to have a little more tourism.
@schlepplifthasser You just think africans need white people, thats what it is. WE DONT.
-
You right. More people , without crowds, helps your own progression . Good waves for you .
Thanx ❤
-
These guys today are the descendants from when Bruce Brown was there filming “Endless Summer”. They probably haven’t seen a surfer since then. It’s a great thing that you left them your surfboards.
yes i hope some other people in the future will leave so me borads 🤗
-
What time of the year did you go there? Sorry if I didn’t get it. Great video!
Thank you. Surf season is from may to october. I have been there from july to november.

-
Thank you for inspiration for my next surf trip, I need to work on my backhand surfing. You are the greatest🤙
You welcome! ❤
-
So nice! And also great waves. Are there also some left breaking waves for goofy footers? ;)
Thanx! I didnt see lefthanders. For that you have to go to Angola or Liberia.
-
Why does nobody surf there? BECAUSE YOU ARE LUCKY!!!!! STFU and surf it. Man, people are stupid.
-
Awesome, I have an idea kindly contact me. Thx
-
what kind of bell end finds waves that aren't crowded and then makes a YouTube video to blow it it. ffs.
Yeah i know...but ghana still has to fight with many problems. A little bit of surfing can help to bring some joy and some chances for the people. There are a lot of other reasons why people are not traveling in West Africa. This Video will not change this. It wont get crowded any time soon - believe
-
Absolutely perfect looking wave. Great video mate.
Thanx! I am glad you like it ❤
-
👏👏👏
Yippie!
-
I'd rather surf alone than a big crowd ! Be Happy
Yes thats true!
-
In Trinidad we call those little planks LAY Lay boards. Surfed some really nice spots in Ghana when I lived there.
Lay Lay sounds good 😊
-
This is incredible! Stoked for you! When we discovered that you can surf on Lake Superior, we couldn't help but share it with the world! Back in the early 2000's, it was one of the most "Stoked" places I've ever surfed because when you saw another "Nutter" like yourself padding out with the snow ❄️ coming down, you were Uber Stoked! What an amazing time it was! God bless and Get Some! Yeeeew! 🤙😁
Thank you for the nice comment. All the best for Lake Superior 😊
-
Another Euro parasite blowing up spots. Give it 5 years, yoga retreats and consumption robots buying and selling land which will push locals out. Create YT video of another place, rinse and repeat.
-
amazing! love to know when is the best time to go! also planning to go by car from valencia, spain
The season is from may to october. There are a few things to think about when you go by car. You can contact me if you want for more informations. infozinky@gmail.com
-
What months of the year were you there.
May to october
Any hotel or guest house in Fete that You can recommend?
-
I heard the same thing about Liberia in the mid 2000’s. Super long waves, nobody on em. Bucket list for sure!
Yeah they also have nice surf i heard. But I havent been there.
Liberia 🇱🇷 has world class waves and ranged amongst world top destinations like Bali of Indonesia. Liberia boasts of world class left hand point breaks, giving it the top spot in Africa. However, due to the civil world that destroyed everything, the country has to built hotels, resorts, and an airport to attract tourist. So yes, Liberia has world class waves but lack infrastructure. Check Robertsport, that's West Africa hidden gem.
-
this is why I try to avoid the crowded spots when I surf. And I can do it when I pick the right days. But no way would I film it and put it on you tube.
This is west africa. There wont be crowds for other reasons. This video will not change anything. But i would be happy if some surfers are coming. Because on the beach in keta there is only one local he has a little bar. I would be happy for him if some people are coming.
@schlepplifthasser OK, I see your point. But if I put some 'secret spots' in the northwest on youtube - the hordes would be all over it. I'd love to do that surf trip starting in Portugal and go south. And when it is too small for a board, a whitewater kayak works great in the surf.
-
Wow!! Cool trip bro!
Thanx mate ❤
-
46k views…. Bruh If the ments can get so crowded so can Ghana. People like you are the reason there’s so few uncrowded spots left If there’s surf karma you will surf crowded waves the rest of your life 😂
Dude have you been to west africa? Do you know how it is? It wont get crowded. Believe me! I want the help the locals there a little bit. Surfing brings fun and some new chances.
@schlepplifthasserif the most remote places in indo can get crowded so can west africa If you wanna help the locals give out a couple of boards and refer some friends to go there…. Not 46k people on the internet
@schlepplifthasseralso can tell you’re a pretty new surfer who grew up in a non surfing country (assuming Germany) You probably haven’t seen how places can get crowded The most secretive people who keep spots on the down low are aussies because they know how bad it can get
-
Which months of the year were you there?
May to October
@schlepplifthasser Thanks
-
it's a little bit small but great moment and great video
❤
-
so geil!! Nov/Dez/Jan?!? mega gut!!!!
Thank you! Season is from may to october. South swell.
-
Just imagine this break on an 8ft day. Golden...
Yes that would be great!
-
Once you've had perfect waves for a long amount of time, you realize it's a social sport. Surfing gets really boring alone.
I would not say boring, but a little lonely.
been surf'n 51 years now...!..last 4 years...have surf'd alown...!...L O V E ....it...!......!...u surf with the "ocean"...its a personal thing..!...others just rune it...!...IMO....!..any surf trip i went on...the people were the trouble...not... the ocean..!..i'll take empty perfiction 4 the rest of my days..& never....get bore'd....thank u very much...!
-
why??? ghana is full of blacks and blacks hate being in the water everyone knows this 😂.
-
Those writing about the 'essence' of surfing aren't old enough to know. The LAST thing you would do is tell the world about it on the internet. FYI last time I was in Ghana it was like a lake for two months ... I caught ONE wave and then had both boards crushed on the flight home.
How van you get it two month flat? Did you try surf out of the season? I had waves almost every day.
-
Man that looks awesome Ghana has great music too Fokn bois
Yes thats true! Thanx bro ❤
-
No one wants to get killed ?
Prejudices and fear is the main reason why people are not traveling in west aftica.
-
Unglaublich!
❤
-
Looks average tbh
For average joes like me, thats the perfect waves 😊
