I have a question for anyone who may know. Kind of a retarded question. I just got into skateboarding, and I want to get into downhill longboarding too. I bought a board with ABEC 5 bearings. It's just a skateboard, but I was wondering why people don't use ABEC 7's or ABEC 11's on regular skateboards? I do have FKD Sawblade series speed bearings and they are smooth as hell. I love them. But...I want to go faster. One more question. Could I do what longboarders do on downhill sports with a skateboard? Why or why not? Thanks for anyone that can help.
Mike Green heck yeah man. i only ride normal skateboards and i do slides, and hill bombs, and tricks too. just watch Tommy Guerrero's future primitive part he does it all. just get some hard wheels and knock yourself out. as far as bearings go, i just don't buy higher abec ratings because it costs more.
