At 76 years young, Marilyn Knecht proves that passion knows no age. From surfing the Oregon coast in the 60s to windsurfing for more than 45 years, and now mastering wingfoiling, she has dedicated her life to the water. Foiling is her daily meditation, her joy and her reminder that movement keeps us alive.

Who the f*** doesn't let someone surf because they are a woman surf? No real man says that. Surfing is full of manchildren, esp. back in her younger days by the sounds of it. I can imagine she though it was purely because she was a woman, it was probably because she was low skill, for safety, etc. Luckily she found perhaps a superior sport, with wingfoiling you can surf so much more, e.g. the normally unsurfable small swells, and sometimes for far far longer, with no intense competition, just pure enjoyment. When you get up on the foil the glide is incredible. I think the wind people have the most fun, good on her, and she's looking great for her age!

I’ve been super impressed by Mike Ho’s surfing as he is approaching 70 . Seeing this beautiful soul at 76 is next level inspiration. I’m almost 49. Surfing since 7. I’ve been on a solid year break from ocean activities due to injures. This is inspiring me to get back out there 🙏🤙

I love this lady ! I live on Vancouver island and I’m always at the beach and I only see men Wind-foiling and never women. It’s been two years and I keep saying I’m going to buy one cause it looks like so much fun !!! but I never do. Today I was at the beach laying in the Sun watching all the men Wind Foil and secretly a little envious. Your video really inspired me. Just Bought one !!!!!

No sound? Ha, I'm an idiot. I pulled the plug out. Marilyn looks more like 60 than 76. What would Opra say? You go girl. I happen to be 76 too and I'm learning to wing foil. I haven't found the easy bit yet. I should get some tips from Marilyn.
Hey, I´m 53 and started to learn wing foiling last autumn, I love it but the slow progress is driving me crazy - still can't get on the foil yet 😂. Must be the lifestyle in Maui that helps

My best friend is 90 years old now and still cycles around the city every day. Sometimes 20 to 30 km. Even in winter conditions when it's icy. He seems as if he were seventy-five. I hope I'll be that fit when I'm his age.

It's so rarelyI see someone I can relate to. This lady is so great, foiling at 76. I am 81 and people say I look like 60 most of the time. Never been sick a day in my life, always been since my childhood somewhat of a health food person, no hamburgers, coke or junk food. I grew up on the beach, swimming,, surfing the best life. I still running around not thinking my age, usually can't relate to people my age and building myself a new house for like the 8th time. Life is great. Go girl go.

Hi Marilyn! How fabulous you have a sport you love! I really admire you, for being so natural. At 69 I have bad knees, hips, etc hoping this yr I can get in shape ailment free. Ive also gone thru a tough time with a child struggling w drugs and a separation from hub
