The Art of Foiling

Foil › Foto / Video

Wing Foiling, Parawing, Prone Foiling, Downwind Foiling and Foil Assist — different disciplines, different sensations, but all connected by the same feeling of freedom and flow.

Filmed in the tropical waters of Guadeloupe, "The Art of Foiling" captures the thrill, versatility and fascination of foiling in all its forms — from carving waves and linking bumps to effortless glide and powered-up sessions.

Different ways to foil. One shared passion. This is what foiling is all about.

I’m guessing the turtles aren’t big fans of this sport…🫪

I'm not an assist foiler (yet), but my new Duotone DLAB Crest 925 is truly the best foil experience I've had foiling since I began the journey kitefoiling in 2014. THANK YOU Duotone and Big Winds Hood River. I'm a winger now

I tried it, it's really great but very expensive 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤

    2. bobbydeden

@IssamL9sirfoiling assisted is the best. It’s opened up the texas coast to so many days on the water that we’re just completely unrideable before.

    3. kippywylie

@bobbydedenI got my Crest from Houston Kite and when they wrote up my invoice it was assumed I wanted the assist package, but sadly I live in Seattle where waves and breaks don't exist.... Other than Gorge high wind swell 4 hours south

    4. tmee8828

Did the same for me... great edit from Duotone

    5. bobbydeden

@kippywyliei wing/parawing with my crest all the time! Kite with the smaller sizes. Is a little fast for the kite but that makes around the worlds fun and easy! Love that foil for everything. I am houston kiteboarding kip. Haha.

    6. kippywylie

@bobbydedenHA! Hey I've been winging non stop on my Crest 925 and having a blast. I've also got a full quiver of kites (Ocean Rodeo Roams) that I love for kitefoiling but honestly I put all that in storage. Do you think the 925 would be fun kitefoiling? Lighter days?

    7. bobbydeden

@kippywylieyes it absolutely is! It’s very loose foil, so it takes some getting used to with kite lines, a couple flat pumps and some apparent wind in canopy and you’re off the the races. Handles an underpowered kite well! Overpowered kite and it can be tricky.

    8. kippywylie

@bobbydedenWell that's perfect because in my current relationship with wind I would always Wing if the winds are 16mph and up, but I've often thought of bringing my kites as a light wind insurance. Thanks

    9. bobbydeden

@kippywyliei get that! I won’t wing until it’s blowing that either. I go 8/10 ufo - 4.5m float - 3.4m stash v2! 8m pace for the twin tipping on those days i get the itch!
